Share your stories: Join the Community Reporters Project!
We are seeking stories by and about mushroom foragers or cultivators in Oregon. If you love mushrooms – or know someone who does – please join our Community Reporters Project.
We have questions; please interview yourselves, your family members, co-workers, children – whoever has a good mushroom story to tell.
Send us your answers in whatever format works best for you: email, word document, as an audio recording, a short video, a slide show – you name it! You don’t have to answer all of the questions, and you’re welcome to answer questions we didn’t ask.
What is your name?
How old are you?
Where do you live?
What is your relationship to mushrooms?
Why do you forage for or cultivate mushrooms? (Or study them, cook or dye with them, etc!)
How did you learn?
What was your most memorable foraging (et al) experience?
What are your favorite mushrooms and why? How do you use them?
When possible, please send photos of the person or people sharing their answers. We will post your interviews and conversations on this blog at our discretion. We will credit you. We may edit for length, but will not change your words. Thank you!
